The LOOM & LEGACY TEXTILE TOUR – GHANA 2026 is a ten-day immersive journey through Ghana’s rich textile heritage, creative industries, and cultural history. This is not a resort vacation. It is a thoughtfully designed cultural experience viewed through an artisan’s lens. Travel across Accra, Tamale, Kumasi, and Cape Coast as you explore the traditions that have shaped Ghana’s global creative identity. From Fugu weaving in the North to Kente craftsmanship in Bonwire, from Batik making in Accra to Indigo dyeing workshops in Aburi, this tour offers hands-on engagement with master artisans, cultural historians, and industry leaders. Participants will make, learn, and explore — engaging in workshops, factory visits, market explorations, historical site tours, and intimate conversations about sustainability, craftsmanship, and the evolving narrative of African textiles. Designed for emerging fashion entrepreneurs, design students, and conscious cultural travelers, this experience connects Ghana’s past and present while offering meaningful insight into the future of African creativity. Arrival in Accra followed by a welcome brunch and welcome dinner to kick off the experience.

DAY 2  

Tamale

Early morning flight to Tamale (approximately 1.5 hours). Breakfast upon arrival. Experience the Art of Fugu and explore the Shea butter production process. Dinner in Tamale.

Saturday, Nov 21, 2026

DAY 3  

Kumasi

Travel to Kumasi. Lunch. Visit the Ashanti Palace. Experience Ashanti gold craftsmanship. Dinner at Ike’s Village.

DAY 4  

Kumasi - Bonwire Experience

Bonwire Kente experience. Time with TBD cultural partners. Market exploration.

DAY 5  

Cape Coast

Travel from Kumasi to Cape Coast and return to Accra. Visit the Door of No Return and Cape Coast Castle.

Accra Leisure Day
